The rise of hybrid working

The rise of hybrid working

Covid has altered many things for us at work and in our personal life. Homeworking has become the norm and more companies are establishing new ways to adhere to this. Organizations that were rigid in the past are now giving employees more flexibility which increases productivity and allows us to work in an environment we feel most comfortable in.

When we talk about Hybrid working what does this actually mean?

What is Hybrid working?

Hybrid working is the flexibility of working remotely or in the office (agreed between the employer and employee). As we find some businesses are going back into the office hybrid working gives the choice to the employee. This will vary between companies, but it could look like 4 days remote and 1 day in the office a week or the option to work remotely abroad and come back to the office 1 day a month etc.

Studies suggest the benefits of hybrid working mean employees maintain a better work-life balance with less time spent commuting and more time with friends and family.

Many are making the shift to Microsoft Teams and in April we saw Teams hit 145 million daily active users. This is an increase from 115 million daily active users in October. It has been at the forefront for companies working from home and has allowed businesses to keep running remotely throughout.  Teams are also in the process of ensuring collaboration remains the same when employees are remote or at the office. Including being able to pin messages so they don’t get lost in channels and

But how do you maintain that control on homeworkers using Teams and manage their productivity remotely?
